Sony seperti biasanya merilis langsung dua ponsel terbarunya, nah kali ini adalah Sony Xperia L yang speknya dibawah dari Sony Xperia SP. Smartphone ini sepertinya ditargetkan untuk memasuki pasaran kelas entri, karen dari beberapa informasi, harga yang dibanderol akan sangat terjangkau. Tetapi murah tetapi tidak murahan, mungkin itu adalah motto Sony, karena produsen asal Jepang ini telah membekali smartphonenya ini dengan kamera utama 8MP yang mampu merekam video dengan resolusi tinggi (HD).
Layar Sony Xperia L adalah 4,3 inci dengan resolusi 854 x 480 piksels, dan juga didukung oleh inti dual-core, chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 1GHz dan RAM 1Ghz. Sama Seperti Xperia SP, Xperia L juga tidak berjalan pada sistem operasi terbaru, melainkan menjalankan sistem operasi Android Jelly Bean 4.1.
